Welcome to PT Do It Yourself.net.
Check out the new PT DIY Guide to Improved Fuel Economy here. As a new PT owner, I began developing this web site in November of 2000 to provide other enthusiasts with a permanent repository of information related to operating, maintaining and or modifying their Cruisers. Since it's inception more than 6,000 hours have been invested into expanding PT DIY.net, making it one of the most recognized and regarded DIY auto enthusiast sites online. As many of you know, much of our initial content reflected the domestic, 2001 2.4L model year PT Cruiser. In most situations the information was applicable to later model years, however during the past five months I have reviewed and updated most of the content on the site, which now encompasses the domestic 2001-2004 model year PT and GT Cruisers. With regard to the 2005 model year PT, much of the same information is applicable, and I am currently adding specific 2005 model year information for the PT Sedan and Convertible.
As of this writing there have been a number of changes and additions to the site, which are discussed further along in the text. One significant change that will impact most of our guests is a separation of content, and the addition of a member only "Pit Pass" subscription area. You can read more about why I made these changes here. To learn more about the Pit area click on the "Pit Area Info/Signup" link on the left menu. As you explore the reworked site you will discover that it is quite extensive. If you've been a regular here, you'll notice several changes and new features, which I hope you enjoy. We now offer more than 350 guides for modifications, product installations, OE maintenance, and diagnostic and system indices. In addition, you'll find a Technical Library with over 1,600 Q&A's, technical assistance through our Ask Motor-Mike feature, a Forum, Special Report and DaimlerChrysler/PT Information sections, TSB's with extended information, a PT Automotive Glossary and more. The content we offer has been provided by a variety of sources, including forum posts, PT DIY research, DC, OE service manuals, and by enthusiasts like you. In keeping with this sense of camaraderie I would like to encourage all PT enthusiasts to contribute any information they feel may benefit a fellow PT enthusiast. Please use the Contact Us link on the menu to learn more about this process. Thank you, and enjoy your visit. Ed Webmaster/Owner PT DIY.net |
